How can a doctor do PhD? and How long does it take? - how long do chillblains stay

I am a student of medicine, but have no interest in the clinical side, so if you like, is a question of my career, to help. also tell me what are the requirements for a doctorate and no change from different countries? I'm from Mexico, how do I do after passing the MBBS?
So please people, tell me the procedure or the application in time and requirements. Thank you in advance.

For this purpose a PhD you need to take the GRE, a standardized test, and complete applications, including the reference and a letter of intent. You need to track record with experience in the research. It is difficult for people outside the United States for the funding, if so it may open up to external funding sources.
